A new sports and lifestyle store concept, BE:AT in Rotterdam
In close collaboration with Esther and Janpeter Dankaart of Daka SSC Bv, WSB developed the concept for the interior design of this new sports store. The first BE:AT store is located on Coolsingel in the heart of Rotterdam, in the former Van Lier Shoes building. The design caters to a young, dynamic audience and creates a modern and inspiring shopping experience.
Experience is central
In the interior design of this sports store, experience was central. The standout feature of the space is the large LED screens on the ceiling, which create dynamism and a strong visual identity. Combined with bold branding and striking visuals, this results in a store environment that is constantly in motion. A tough and modern look was chosen: dark ceilings and clean lines are paired with warm materials and subtle lighting accents.

An important aspect of the sports store interior is its clear layout. The use of central display tables, open presentations, and wall units creates a well-defined flow. Visitors are naturally guided through the store, while the different product categories are showcased effectively.
