From vision to reality: a new chapter for Beeks Oog en Oor
For Beeks Oog en Oor, we had the opportunity to design and realize this optical store interior! After renovating Michael Beeks’ previous store almost ten years ago, the lines of communication were naturally short. We were involved from the very beginning.
The question was: stay and expand a little, or take a big step and relocate? After looking at this together, the decision was made quickly: a completely new store interior with much more space and height.
Sfeer en ruimte perfect in evenwicht
The brief was to create an international atmosphere without losing the approachable, village-like character.
Upon entering, the sense of calm and space is immediately noticeable, mainly due to the generous ceiling height. Warm materials such as leather, linen, fur, travertine, and plenty of greenery give the store a very pleasant, almost zen-like ambiance. On the ground floor, eyeglasses are displayed, customers can wait, enjoy a coffee, and have their eyes tested. There are also two hearing consultation rooms and even a self-test area, where customers can easily and independently check their hearing. Upstairs, there is space for an office, workshop (with a view of the store!), and a canteen.
An eyewear department store with calm and efficiency
This optical store interior combines functionality with experience, allowing both customers and staff to fully enjoy the space.
You could describe it as an eyewear department store, but one that offers complete calm for the customer. And it’s not just the customers who are happy here, the staff is too. Thanks to smart routing and efficiency, working here has become even more enjoyable. Children haven’t been forgotten either: there’s a dedicated kids’ eyewear section. When they pick up their new glasses, they’re lowered down from the ceiling using a pulley system, a fun and engaging detail.
All in all, a fantastic store that is more than ready for the future. Here’s to many successful years ahead, Michael!
