The right ambience for furnishing a company canteen
What could be better than winter sports? The ‘Alice in Wonderland’ white world, the cold, the speed, the experience but above all of course: the fun. Drinking beer or glühwein together after a few hours of blasting on the slopes. Every year we go skiing with the WSB team and we will not forget the legendary cozy moments in the ski huts.
When we started moving and furnishing the canteen internally, the desired atmosphere and appearance quickly became clear. A ski hut with a fresh touch (after all, you should also sit comfortably in the summer) that was what it had to be. We didn’t hold back, we went for the complete picture. Space for two large coffee machines in combination with a kitchen unit ensure a quick flow at the break. No more ‘coffee traffic’ during peak times.
Every season is a party
The seats are at long coffee tables, high bar tables or low by the fireplace, something for every moment and every mood. A large conservatory has been built on the indoor space with lots of height and light. This ensures that it is a nice place in every season. The central point of the company canteen is of course the bar. A built-in tap, cooling, large pizza oven and hob ensure that we can turn every drink into a great party. The large illuminated visual creates the illusion of looking straight into the mountain landscape. Because these are replaceable cloths, this is easy to adjust to the seasons.
Raw Douglas wood ceilings and floor make the base warm and cozy. We also used materials such as leather, steel, wool and, even more, wood. Everything is styled in an alpine ambience with wooden skis, vintage ski billboards, Swiss cow bells and a lot of stuffed animals in all shapes and sizes (all died a soft natural death, of course). All in all, the perfect place to relax with the team every break or to take time for a good drink. Hard work is hard relaxation!
