Torenbeek Schoenen Groningen receives complete restyling and expansion of the store interior
For Torenbeek Schoenen, we had the opportunity to realize a beautiful project in which we completely redesigned and expanded the store interior of this shoe store. Together with Klaas and Wouter, the driving forces behind this family business, we worked on a contemporary retail environment that perfectly matches the identity of this specialty store.
More space and experience for the footwear department
Torenbeek Schoenen has been known for many years for its extensive shoe collection and personal service. The goal was to create more space and overview in the store, with extra focus on its strong specialization in outdoor, leisure, and sports footwear. Therefore, the store was expanded towards the rear, creating more space for presentation, experience, and comfort.
WSB delivered the complete design, restyling, and new store interior. In doing so, we aimed for a balance between a robust, industrial look and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The interior needed to feel contemporary without becoming distant or overly luxurious. By using new materials, a renewed lighting plan, new flooring, and wallpaper, a fresh and inviting store was created in which the collection is optimally presented.
New interior concept with lighting and custom-built fixtures
For the expansion at the rear of the store, we designed a completely new interior concept. The lighting plan and the supply of the lighting were also part of our scope of work. Good lighting plays an essential role in the presentation of footwear and the overall shopping experience.
In addition, Klaas and Wouter carried out the full fit-out together with local companies from Groningen. From demolition work and new walls to ceilings and electrical installations: the execution was largely handled by skilled craftsmen from the region. This collaboration made the project even more special.
The result is a modern, clear, and atmospheric specialty store where the passion for footwear is immediately tangible. We would like to thank Klaas and Wouter for their trust and wish them every success with their renewed store.
