DAKA Sports Store Megastore Fit-Out
In the fourth quarter of 2024, DAKA Sport & Lifestyle opened its seventeenth sports store in the Netherlands, and its first in the province of Limburg. Located in the Trefcenter shopping center at Nijmeegseweg 6 in Venlo, this megastore offers an impressive 3,000 m² of retail space spread across the ground floor and first floor.
Thanks to the efficient three-week installation period and WSB’s turnkey approach, we created a sporty and inspiring retail environment that perfectly aligns with DAKA’s vision.
DAKA, a family-owned business that started with a small sports store in Rotterdam-Noord in 1965, has grown into the leading Sport & Lifestyle retail chain in the Netherlands. In the new Venlo store, the complete range of sports and lifestyle products is presented according to the megastore concept, featuring specialist departments for winter sports, outdoor, hockey, football, running, fitness, and tennis.
A special detail: the existing artwork on the ceiling above the escalators has been preserved, creating a beautiful connection between the store’s heritage and its renewed interior design.
In addition to its extensive webshop, DAKA Venlo, like its other locations, offers a variety of services that enhance the sporting experience. Thanks to WSB’s expertise in retail concepts for sports stores, DAKA Venlo now has an inspiring and functional environment where sports enthusiasts immediately feel at home.
