In het historische centrum van Bastia, aan de Boulevard Paoli, ligt de elegante juwelierszaak Claret, opgericht in 1990 door Bruno Claret. Zijn vakmanschap en liefde voor edelstenen gingen over op zijn zoon Pierre, opgeleid aan de École du Louvre in Parijs, die finesse en creativiteit in elke creatie combineert. Claret is bekend om maatwerk, reparaties en persoonlijke aandacht, met collecties van solitaires, colliers, ringen, oorringen, pendants en trouwringen. Onder Pierre groeide de zaak sterk, en in 2024 werd de tegenoverliggende winkel van The Kooples omgevormd tot een juwelenbelevingswereld. From Idea to Execution: The Jewelry Store Design

Pierre: “After the first phone call, WSBdesign responded immediately. In Bastia, I quickly had an inspiring conversation with Rick Blankenstijn about the possibilities of the building, the optimal layout, and styling.”

Rick Blankenstijn: “The building has two floors, a large basement, and a shallow ground floor with big display windows. We created two workshops: one on the ground floor close to the client, and one at the back of the basement. The arcadian shapes give a southern ambiance, enhanced with light sand and wood tones. For the interior, we used exclusively gold, fabric wallpaper, and specialized lighting. The display cases are also crucial, some linear, some rounded. It results in a high-level store, comparable to other flagship projects by WSBdesign.com, such as Paillard Joaillerie Paris, Präg by Holfelder, Tensen Jewelers Antwerp, and Van Hell Jewelers.”
