Van der Leeuw Optician, Delft (NL): Retail design

Rob van der Leeuw is very satisfied with the choice to cooperate with the dutch international shopfitting group WSB Shopconcept in both concept, design and realisation. “The integration of the old elements of the Art Nouveau architecture of the monument in which we are located combined with a transparent contemporary design make our shop unique” WSB Shopconcept has realized the entire building process from design to delivery. The rebuilding was realized in 2 phases and the shop was closed for just one day.

We did not collect so much inspiration from other stores. There’s more sought a transparent completely modern atmosphere with overwhelming warmth and brightness to our wide range of customers.

Wind, Sun, sea and transparency were key words in the beginning to a new shop concept. WSB has proposed several concepts that after a joint quest has led to this result. The connection outside-inside is now more transparent and leads in combination with a sophisticated lighting (CDM-T) to new customers. The store has 3 entree’s of which 1 goes to the sunglasses shop goes. From this shop we can of course walk to correction frames shop.

From this successful WSB Design appeared several publications  in the magazines ‘Optiek en Mode’, ‘Eyeline’ and ‘Oculus’.
